Thermal Remediation® Releases New Bed Bug Heater

By Thermal Remediation® from TEMP-AIR - June 15, 2010

Burnsville, MN -- June 15, 2010 -- TEMP-AIR is proud to announce the release of the newly redesigned EBB-460V, a lighter, narrower, and more efficient Thermal Remediation® Electric Bed Bug Heater.

Nearly 100 pounds lighter and 10 inches narrower than its predecessor, the EBB-460V efficiently delivers 7,000 watts at 2,400 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of heated air inside the treated space.  Also equipped with lockable swivel casters, the updated unit allows applicators easier access through narrow doorways and smaller landings.

The EBB-460V is an integral part of the Thermal Remediation heat treatment process of bringing heat, moving air, and monitoring and recording temperatures.  The most popular equipment combines a trailer equipped with a 40 kW generator, 4 EBB-460V (460 volt, 3 phase) heaters, fans, a wireless temperature monitoring system, and various treatment accessories.

According to research performed at the University of Minnesota, temperatures above 122ºF will result in the complete and immediate kill of the entire life cycle of the bed bug, from eggs to adults.  With a target temperature range of 120-140ºF, the EBB-460V Electric Bed Bug Heater is digitally programmed not to exceed temperatures above 135ºF for a controlled application of heat.
